This is the 15th year of continuous daily publication for 365Caws. All things considered, it's likely it will be the last year as it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to find interesting material. However, I hope that I may have inspired someone to a greater curiosity about the natural world with my natural history posts, or encouraged a novice weaver or needleworker. If so, I've done what I set out to do.

Where All The Greens Went
Day 253: My rug strip box was filled and overflowing into two large bags, so I figured it was time to make another batch of rag rugs, but I was desperately short of bright colours, particularly greens. I put out an all-points call, and friends came through. Suddenly, I found myself with an abundance of greens, and since it just happens to be my favourite colour, I decided to make the last of three rugs for myself. I'd already used some of the greens in the first two and thought I might run short if I stuck exclusively to green, so I threw in some brights to liven up the random design. Now I find myself short of greens again, and I'm still up to my eyeballs in grey, black and red. It's feast or famine, and I've just measured off a new warp (with Merry's help) for three more rugs.
